TENT 2012

Went down to TENT design show in London, [for future reference go to Aldergate East tube station then its down Brick Lane] which I've been to once before last year and was impressed. It's a design show that's a bit different; it's not as big as 100% Design or as exclusively classy as Decorex. Rather it has a down to earth kind vibe; located in an old brewery but its size gives off the exclusive feel.

Induction to final year meeting

Okay so we've been given our timetable or should I say timetables, design brief; a completely confusing conversation about dissertation & report sessions- which we need nine thousand words for and we've got at least five projects going on at once from what I managed to follow...
I feel like I'm drowning before we've even started; plus I can see this new attendance management causing a few problems too!

All I hope is that I get an idea for my design project by tutorials next Wednesday, until then- research & library ;\

Stitch & Craft Show

Went to Stitch & Craft Show at Event City; was a bit bigger this year but was great as was able to get some craft stuff but also stock up on stitch stuff for embroidery and Uni. Got some tools etc for print too :)

Personal Project 2

I found another piece of old furniture; this time a cabinet, at my local charity shop and once again I stripped it down and gave it a makeover :) This one is perfect for storing all my craft, print & paint stuff.
I think this is where I'll stop- at least for now anyway :P

This one was in quite good condition but didn't really go with any of my furniture

Now it does and it's at home in my flat :)

Craft Show

Went to a Stitch & Craft show at Manchester Central- GMEX this is a new one that's been set up as the normal one in Sept is later on and is now held in a different venue. As this wasn't the main one of the month it was a bit smaller I'd say; as the larger more well known stalls weren't all there, even so it was still a good show and I was able to stock up on a few things- storage boxes was a defiant must :)

Personal Project

Over the last week, I've been working on a piece of old furniture I found at a local charity shop; a revamp and a splash of colour and design to it.

Before I started; a bit scratched and battered

Final Year

Just enrolled so I am now offically a forth and final year at Uni :)
